1972. JEAN BELIVEAU IN MOSCOW

Maybe the fact that I am about to reveal is pretty common known I have just missed somehow, but anyway, do you guys know that Montreal legend Jean Beliveau visited Moscow during the 1972 summit? Even more, he met Russian players, had long and pleasant conversation.

VLADIMIR VIKULOV, JEAN BELIVEAU, VALERI KHARLAMOV

According to dennis-kane.com "Jean Beliveau was in Moscow in 1972, and this photo, which used to belong to Beliveau and now belongs to me, shows him and Kharlamov having a nice time, although Kharlamov didn’t speak English and Beliveau, I’d be willing to bet a case of Molson’s on, doesn’t speak Russian. But it looks like they were enjoying each others company anyway"

  2. No, I didn't. Attending 9-10th grades I hade super populiar and fancy (for that time) bag (light blue) with one strap (remindes me my son hockey bag but twice smaller). Then studed in Univer I was presented with "diplomat" (remember?) bag, that was the top thing one's imagination could reach at this time (1979)

  3. "diplomat" is well remembered too :-) but "portfel" was something else. i remember my coach in college carrying in his "portfel" 2 sticks of salami, two milk packages, 3 cucumbers, thermostat, sports wear, a book, a chess set and our training plans. The thing had no limitations and was super flexible :-) forget nike!
